General Information

Selecting the best time to visit the Disneyland Resort depends upon your interests:

• If you want to visit when the number of Guests is sometimes lower, plan to stay mid-week (Tuesdays to Thursdays) during:
• mid-September through mid-November
• mid-January through mid-March
• or mid-April through mid-May

The benefit of visiting the Disneyland Resort when the number of Guests is low is that wait times may be shorter and you can do more. However, Disney California Adventure Park and Disneyland Park typically reduce their operating hours at such times. Also, there may be fewer entertainment and events, and attractions are more frequently closed for refurbishment.

• If you want to visit while the theme parks have extended hours, entertainment, events and most attractions operating, plan your stay for weekends, including extended holiday weekends during:
• Christmas and Spring Break
• June to August

However, during these times, the number of Guests is usually increased.

The Disneyland Resort offers currency exchange through Travelex Exchange Services. Foreign currency may be exchanged for U.S. dollars at:

• City Hall in Disneyland Park
• Guest Relations Lobby just inside the Disney California Adventure Park Main Entrance
• Guest Relations Window located to the left of the Disney California Adventure Park Main Entrance
• Travelex® in the Downtown Disney District

The Disneyland Resort is pleased to offer vegetarian options at select restaurants. For those Guests with other dietary needs, special arrangements can often be made at select table-service restaurants. The Disneyland Kennel Club is available for day use. No overnight accommodations are available. Please note the Disneyland Resort Hotels do not permit pets. Service animals are allowed.

The Disneyland Resort offers a Package Check Service. If you are staying at one of the Disneyland Resort Hotels, you may have your purchases sent directly to the Hotel. If you are just here for the day or are staying at a non-Disney hotel, you may check your purchases until you leave at:

• Newsstand at Disneyland Park
• The Star Trader at Disneyland Park
• Pioneer Mercantile at Disneyland Park

Various attractions may be temporarily closed for refurbishment or scheduled maintenance. To view a list, go to the Park Hours and check the dates of your visit.

Plan about 2 days for the theme parks and one or 2 nights for Downtown Disney District.

It is possible to visit both theme parks in one day, but since there is so much to see and do, we recommend planning a multi-day visit. There are many multi-day ticket options that allow you to explore both parks at a more relaxed pace.

You can, however, visit both parks on the same day if:

• You purchase a Park Hopper Ticket (may be a part of your Vacation Packages).
• You are an Annual Passholder.
• You are a Disneyland Resort Hotel Guest with an Ultimate Park Hopper Ticket.

In Southern California, you should dress according to the seasons:

• During the summer months, pack light clothing, shorts, sunscreen, a light jacket and bathing suits for the pool.
• During the winter months, be prepared to dress in layers. Pack jeans and t-shirts or long-sleeved shirts for the day time, and a sweatshirt and heavy jacket for early mornings and evenings.
• Come prepared for the unexpected. Pack an umbrella and the appropriate clothing in case the weather suddenly turns wet or unseasonably warm or cool.
• Comfortable walking shoes are a good idea all year round.

The parks are a casual, family-oriented environment. We suggest you dress comfortably, wear good walking shoes and check the local weather report before you leave for the parks.

Ensuring that the parks are family friendly is an important part of the Disney experience. In that spirit, we ask you to use your discretion and common sense. Attire that is not appropriate for the theme parks (and which may result in refusal of admittance) includes but is not limited to:

• Adult costumes or clothing that can be viewed as representative of an actual Disney character
• Masks (unless you are dressing up for a particular event)
• Clothing with objectionable material, including obscene language or graphics
• Excessively torn clothing
• Clothing which, by nature, exposes excessive portions of the skin that may be viewed as inappropriate for a family environment
• Tattoos that could be considered objectionable, such as with obscene language or graphics

A Guest is allowed into the parks if her or his hair (or make-up, if applicable) has been made to resemble a Disney Princess or character (for example, after a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique makeover) provided the Guest is not also wearing a costume or clothed to look like the character.

These guidelines apply to personal and rented strollers:

• Strollers are not permitted on escalators. Elevators and ramps are available at certain locations.
• A child must be removed from his or her stroller while riding on a parking lot tram.
• Do not leave personal belongings in an unattended stroller.
• Strollers may be moved by a Cast Member due to operational needs.
• Rented strollers may not be taken beyond the Guest screening tents located in the Esplanade between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park.

The best way to find an item lost at the Disneyland Resort is to visit Lost and Found, located next to Guest Relations to the left of the Main Entrance of Disney California Adventure Park.

If you are not able to visit Lost and Found in person, call 0011 1 (714) 817-2166 from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily.

The Disneyland Resort is a popular vacation destination and our special events make us unique. Events such as the Disneyland Half Marathon, Mickey's Halloween Party and Disneyland Grad Nite are just a few examples of some of our events that may have an impact on park operations or hours. The Disneyland Resort is open to everyone, every day and we extend our welcome to a variety of groups who may hold events at the Resort throughout the year. These events are independently organized and therefore we are not a source of information for any of these event activities. We are currently aware of several events and their dates, including those listed below. Information is subject to change.

There are many different events that take place throughout the Disneyland Resort during different times of the year. Due to the number and variety of events and activities that take place nearly every day across the Resort, we are unable to share details of all events during the booking process.
