When to Visit

Every month offers a different way to experience what the Disneyland Resort has to offer. From late-night summer extravaganzas to the mostly quieter winter months, there are different advantages to visiting during various seasons.

In general, if you want to visit when the number of Guests is sometimes lower, plan to stay mid-week — Tuesdays to Thursday. There are several times during the year when Guests can take advantage of historically lower attendance:

• Mid-January through mid-March (except for President's Day Weekend)
• Mid-April through mid-May (except during Spring Break)
• Mid-September through mid-November (except during Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort)

January

In January, the weather tends to be cooler and lines can be shorter later in the month. You may catch the tail-end of some Holidays at Disneyland attractions and entertainment during the first week.

February

February historically has less attendance for shorter lines, except for the popular President's Day. Look for special dining and events at Downtown Disney District around Valentine's Day.

March

March brings Daylight Savings Time and families on Spring Break. This means longer days and more sunshine in the Parks. March 17 brings a St. Patrick's Day celebration to Downtown Disney District.

April

In March and April, Spring Break is one of the Resort's most popular times of the year. Hotel Guests can take a break of their own and relax in the pools between visiting the Parks.

The end of May kicks off summer and the Disneyland Resort's high season! On select weekend nights, the Parks may close early for Grad Nite private celebrations.

June

Summer days are here! The Park is open later and evening street parties abound. During the early part of the month, Grad Nite continues, entertainment usually has additional show times and fewer attractions are closed for refurbishments.

Athletes of all shapes and sizes compete in the Disneyland Half Marathon. Later in the month, the Disneyland Resort gets a headstart on Halloween. As the days get shorter, so do Park hours.

Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort is in full spook-tactular swing! Be on the lookout for costumed Disney Characters, re-vamped attractions and fang-tastic dining. With a separate admission, trick-or-treat at Mickey's Halloween Party.

The first few weeks in November often have shorter lines and cooler temperatures. Near the middle of the month, Holidays at Disneyland Resort rings in the season with special attractions, dining and décor. This is a special time of year, when families come together to get a head start on Holiday Cheer!
