Special Dietary Requests

Disneyland Resort is committed to offering a wide range of culinary and dietary options for its Guests.

Delicious Alternatives

By substituting different ingredients and approaches, most Disney chefs, restaurants and quick-service locations can accommodate the following common food allergies:

  • Gluten or wheat
  • Eggs
  • Fish
  • Milk or lactose
  • Peanuts and tree nuts
  • Shellfish
  • Soy
  • Corn

Many Disney restaurants now offer allergy-friendly menus to address these food intolerances and some can accommodate lifestyle requests as well—including low-fat, low-sodium, no-sugar-added and vegetarian options—often with no advance arrangements.

Guests with food allergies should discuss dietary requirements with their server upon arriving at the location. All Guests have the opportunity to consult with a chef or Cast Member trained in special diets, if desired.

We strive to use reasonable efforts in our food sourcing, preparation and handling procedures to avoid the introduction of the allergen into your menu choices. While we take steps to prevent cross-contact, we do not have separate allergy-friendly kitchens and are unable to guarantee that any menu item is completely free of allergens.

Please note our allergy-friendly offerings rely on supplier ingredient labels and we cannot guarantee the accuracy of each food item's contents. Allergen advisory statements (e.g., "may contain") are not regulated and therefore not taken into consideration when developing allergy-friendly meals. It is ultimately up to our Guests' discretion to make an informed choice based upon individual dietary needs.

Metabolic Disorders & Multiple Allergies
Guests with requests associated with the list below should contact us at Special.Diets@Disneyland.com after booking all dining arrangements for their visit at least 14 days prior to arrival.

  • Any allergy or intolerance not listed above
  • Individual Guests with 4 or more allergies/intolerances or several Guests with allergies/intolerances within the same party
  • Metabolic disorders
  • Phenylketonuria (PKU)

Our team will assist Guests in navigating the dining process. In addition, Disneyland Resort restaurants will do their best to accommodate dietary requirements but cannot guarantee that they can meet all requests.

Participating Restaurants

Table-Service Restaurants
Most table-service restaurants are able to provide allergy-friendly menus and alternate meal options.

Quick-Service Locations
Select quick-service restaurants offer allergy-friendly menus and other meal options that may accommodate certain food allergies or intolerances.

Buffets
Chefs are available to walk Guests through the buffet to explain what can be eaten based on specific requirements. Please note that we cannot always guarantee we will be able to meet all dietary requests.

Making Special Dietary Requests

Our standard menu selections are available online and allergy-friendly menus are available at many dining locations. Here's what you should do when making reservations:

Online Reservations
When making reservations online, please indicate all food allergies, intolerances and dietary requirements at the time of booking as well as upon arrival at the restaurant.

Phone Reservations
To make reservations by phone, call (714) 781-DINE or (714) 781-3463 and indicate any special dietary requirements when booking as well as upon arrival at the restaurant. Guests under 18 years of age must have parent or guardian permission to call.

At the Restaurant
Inform the server, chef or on-duty Cast Member trained in special diets of any restrictions upon your arrival.

We will use reasonable efforts to prevent the introduction of allergens into your food via close attention to sourcing, preparation and handling processes. However (as noted above), Walt Disney Parks and Resorts cannot guarantee that menu items are completely free of any allergen.

Guests should ultimately use individual discretion to make informed meal selections. Always inform the server of any restrictions upon arrival, even if you have spoken to a service Cast Member while planning your vacation or have noted dietary restrictions on your dining reservation.

Kosher Meals

Kosher meals can be accommodated at table-service and select quick-service restaurants. Requests should be made 24 hours in advance by calling (714) 781-DINE or (714) 781-3463. In addition, Guests should also indicate any dietary requirements upon arrival at the restaurant. Guests under 18 years of age must have parent or guardian permission to call.

Personal Food Items

Guests with food allergies or intolerances are allowed to bring food into Disneyland Resort theme parks and dining locations. When passing through the park's security bag check, simply inform a Cast Member that someone in the party has special dietary needs.

Please note that Cast Members are prohibited from storing, preparing, cooking or reheating food brought into our Resort hotels or theme parks by Guests.

Refrigerating and Heating Food
Disneyland Resort hotel Guests bringing items that need refrigeration can use the small refrigerator in their room or call housekeeping to request a refrigerator (subject to availability). Additional charges may apply.
