Disneyland After Dark

Event #1: Throwback Nite

Take a trip down memory lane when you snag a hot ticket to the very first Disneyland After Dark event of the new year—kicking off on January 18, 2018 from 8:00 PM to 1:00 AM.

Come dressed in your best retro-inspired attire and discover Disney's classic past at an after-hours celebration inspired by the debonair days of the '50s and '60s.

As you journey through the park, you'll encounter an array of nostalgic nods to the Disneyland of yesteryear. Event highlights include:

After-Hours Attractions - Ride iconic mainstays like Peter Pan's Flight, Matterhorn Bobsleds, Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise and more.

Character Greetings - Cross paths with some classic personalities.

Music and Dancing - Soak up lively entertainment planted throughout the park:

  • Take in the dulcet tones of popular hits from the 1960s, as a tribute band performs live on the Disneyland Railroad platform.
  • Sway along to the upbeat tunes of a jazz/swing band in front of "it's a small world" Holiday.
  • Get caught up in the swirling activity around Sleeping Beauty Castle as a radio DJ broadcasts all the unique offerings of the evening and accepts song dedications from Guests.
  • Board the Mark Twain Riverboat for a song-filled sail around the Rivers of America.

Specialty Food and Drinks - Savor sips and snacks that were a hit in the park's early days.

Tribute Fireworks - Gaze upon Fantasy in the Sky, a fireworks spectacular that first illuminated the night sky in 1958.

Souvenir Photos and Snap-Worthy Backdrops - Strike a pose at unique photo locations—including themed vignettes and oversized attraction posters - created especially for this event. To make sure everyone is in the picture, Disney PhotoPass photographers will be on hand to help you capture these fun moments. Plus, delight in unlimited downloads of these must-share shots taken during the evening.

Commemorative Keepsakes - Upon arrival, be sure to pick up your lanyard and credential.

A Festive Environment - Event-themed attire is encouraged, so feel free to don your favorite flashback fashion from when Disneyland Park first opened in 1955.
