Audio Description

The Disneyland Resort offers Audio Description through Disney's Handheld Device, which provides supplemental audio by describing visual elements such as actions, settings and scene changes, and works with existing show audio at specific theme park attractions. A US$25.00 refundable deposit is required, refundable when returned on the same day.

Audio Description is available for the following locations:

Braille Guidebooks

Braille Guidebooks are available for each theme park and include attraction, restaurant and store descriptions. A limited number of Braille Guidebooks are available to rent on a first-come, first-served basis at Guest Relations and require a US$25.00 refundable deposit (refundable when returned on the same day).

Digital Audio Tour

A digital audio tour is available for each theme park. The digital audio tour provides Guests with a sense of direction and a brief description of Guest services and attractions. A limited number of digital audio devices are available on a first-come, first-served basis at Guest Relations and require a US$25.00 refundable deposit (refundable when returned on the same day).

Service Animals

Trained service animals are welcome Guests at the Disneyland Resort; however, please remember that service animals must remain on a leash or in a harness and under control of their owner at all times. Cast Members are not able to take control of service animals.

Due to the nature of some attractions, service animals may not be permitted to ride. At these locations, please ask a Cast Member about available options, including Rider Switch with a member of your party or a portable kennel.

Service Animal Relief Areas

Service animals are welcome to use any open outdoor area for service animal relief, so long as the owner makes sure to pick up after his animal and leave the area clean. This includes the theme parks, Downtown Disney, Hotels, and other Guest areas. Additionally, for your convenience, we also have the following designated areas in our theme parks:

Main Entrance Esplanade:

  • Disneyland Kennel Club
Disneyland Park:
  • Fantasyland: Planter across from "it's a small world"
  • Fantasyland/Hub – Planter on right leading from Central Hub toward Matterhorn Bobsleds (park map is provided to assist in locating area)
