With a purchase of Disney Genie+ service, you can use Disney PhotoPass Lenses to create enchanting photos and reveal uniquely Disney experiences that make your park memories even more interactive and magical.

A selected number of these Lenses will only be available in designated areas of the parks, while others can be enjoyed across the Resort. So, whether you're unwinding in your Disneyland Resort hotel room, dining at your favourite in-park restaurants or strolling around the Downtown Disney District, you'll be able to interact with a variety of Disney-themed effects, transforming yourself—and the world around you! Plus, keep the fun going at home, where you can enjoy selected Lenses for up to 45 days after the last day of your Disney Genie+ service entitlement.

How to Access Disney PhotoPass Lenses

Already have Disney Genie+ service? Here's how to enable special AR (augmented reality) effects on your device's camera:

1. Make sure you've allowed the Disneyland app to access your device's camera and location.

2. Open the app menu (≡) and select "PhotoPass Lenses."

Important Details

  • After purchasing Disney Genie+ service, Guests can access many Disney PhotoPass Lenses in the Disneyland app as soon as they enter the park. Selected Disney PhotoPass Lenses are accessible only within designated areas of Disneyland Resort. Some Disney PhotoPass Lenses will remain accessible in the Disneyland app until 5:59 AM Pacific Time on the 45th day after using your Disney Genie+ service purchase; certain states and localities are excluded.
  • Many Disney PhotoPass Lenses use technology that detects the coordinates of key points on a Guest's face and/or hands. These Lenses may be used only by Guests who are 18 years of age and older, who have consented to the use of this technology. Therefore, Guests unable to provide such consent, as well as Guests under 18 years of age, will have fewer Lenses available to use.
  • Use of Disney PhotoPass Lenses is subject to the Terms and Conditions.
  • Disney PhotoPass Lenses are not included with Disney PhotoPass+ One Day or Disney PhotoPass+ One Week.
