Is the battery in my MagicBand+ replaceable?

A:

No, but you do not need to replace the battery in your MagicBand+ because it includes a rechargeable battery and 6-inch USB charging cable with the purchase of the product. A charging cable can also be purchased separately at select retail locations across the Disneyland Resort. Please note: the non-USB end of the cable is made exclusively for connection with MagicBand+.

MagicBand+ Battery Life
Depending on an individual’s use of the band, the battery can last an estimated 1 to 3 days. Upon purchase or receipt of your band, it is recommended to charge it to High Battery levels (green animation) for the most optimal usage. To conserve your band's battery life, simply turn it off—then easily power it back on when you want to access all its features. Power your band off by pressing and holding the button on the back for 6 seconds, until it buzzes twice. The lights will glow red to indicate the band has powered off.

Even if your MagicBand+ battery is depleted, you can still use it for certain functions such as:

  • Park entry (with valid admission and park reservation)
  • Redemption of Lightning Lane selections
  • Disney PhotoPass photographer interactions

Certain MagicBand+ functionality and features, such as software updates, customization settings, and use with certain Parks-and-Resorts interactive experiences may be affected if the MagicBand+ battery is not adequately charged.
