ECV and manual wheelchair rentals are available outside the theme parks, just east of the Disneyland Park Main Entrance and at the Pixar Pals parking structure.
ECVs and wheelchairs may not be reserved. Please plan to arrive early; a limited number of ECVs and wheelchairs are available for rent on a first-come, first-served basis. Guests are also invited to bring and use their own ECVs and wheelchairs throughout the Disneyland Resort.
Select Disneyland Resort hotels offer a limited supply of wheelchairs for rent, but ECVs are not available at these locations.
Guests must be 18 years of age to operate and a photo ID is required to rent ECVs.
Some attractions require Guests to transfer from their ECV into a manual wheelchair in order to ride the attraction. Other attractions may offer a transfer device or some offer the ability to transfer directly into a modified ride vehicle. Disney Cast Members are not permitted to physically lift Guests while transferring. Learn more
The maximum weight for an ECV is 450 pounds. The maximum weight for a manual wheelchair is 350 pounds. ECVs and wheelchairs are not designed to hold more than one person.
Only one Guest at a time is allowed to ride an ECV. Guests are not allowed to sit on steering handles or in storage baskets, or sit or stand anywhere on the ECV beyond the designated seat.
ECVs need to be operated at a walking speed.
In the event of an attraction evacuation, Guests may be required to walk certain distances and navigate stairs and narrow walkways. If you need evacuation assistance, please have a member of your party assist you or wait in the attraction vehicle for assistance.
