Getting from the Airport to the Disneyland Resort

After your flight, embark on a scenic journey from the airport to the Disneyland Resort using convenient public transportation.

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)

Discover how to get from LAX to the Disneyland Resort by bus, train, shuttle, taxi and more. The Happiest Place on Earth is located approximately 40 miles from Los Angeles International Airport.

Disneyland Resort Express
The Disneyland Resort Express provides the most convenient mode of transportation between LAX and the Disneyland Resort area—including both Disneyland Resort and Anaheim Resort hotels. Upon exiting the baggage claim area at LAX, proceed to the center island. You may board the Disneyland Resort Express underneath the green sign in front of each terminal. Buses depart frequently, beginning at Terminal #1. Reservations are not required, but there is a fee to ride.

Metro (Bus and Rail)
The Los Angeles Metro consists of a network of interlinked bus routes and rail lines.

  • After exiting the baggage claim area, wait under the LAX Shuttle & Airline Connections sign on the Lower/Arrival Level islands in front of each terminal. 
  • Ride the bus/shuttle marked "G" to the Aviation Station and proceed to the west end of the platform. 
  • Board the Metro Rail Green Line headed east toward Norwalk. 
  • Once you arrive at the Norwalk Station, board the Metro Express Line 460 bus headed to the Disneyland Resort.

Shuttles, Limousines and Taxicabs
There are a number of shared-ride shuttles and limousines available to take you directly to the Disneyland Resort. It's best to arrange your transportation prior to arriving at the airport.

  • Limousines may charge a flat rate that is sometimes close to the rate charged by a taxi service.
  • Vans pick up passengers on the Lower/Arrival Level islands in front of each terminal under the orange sign marked "Shared Ride Vans." 

Taxicabs are available for direct transportation service to the Disneyland Resort. After exiting baggage claim, walk outside to the taxi stand. Taxis can be found curbside on the Lower/Arrival Level islands in front of each terminal under the yellow sign indicating "Taxis." You will be presented with a ticket stating typical fares to major destinations. Only authorized taxis with an official seal issued by City of Los Angeles Department of Transportation are permitted in the airport. It is illegal for any transportation services to solicit fares, and travelers using such services do so at their own risk.

John Wayne Airport (SNA)

Explore how you can climb aboard a shuttle, bus, taxi, limo and more to the Disneyland Resort. The Happiest Place on Earth is located approximately 15 miles from John Wayne Airport.

All ground transportation pick-up locations are situated in the Ground Transportation Center (GTC) within easy walking distance from the baggage claim area. The GTC is located on the Arrival (Lower) Level in the center of the East Parking Structure and can be reached via the Thomas F. Riley Terminal by crossing the airport roadway at the traffic light near the John Wayne Statue.

Disneyland Resort Express
The Disneyland Resort Express provides the most convenient mode of transportation between John Wayne Airport and the Disneyland Resort area, including Disneyland Resort and Anaheim Resort hotels. Upon exiting baggage claim, proceed to the GTC. The Disneyland Resort Express picks up Guests in front of the ticket booth located to the left on a regular basis.

Reservations are not required, but there is a fee to ride.

Orange County Transit Authority (OCTA)
The OCTA operates a network of interlinked bus routes that service Orange County and connect to other public transportation options.

  • Upon exiting baggage claim, take Airport Way to the Airport-Arrival Terminal in Santa Ana.
  • Take Bus Route 76 West to the MacArthur-Harbor Blvd. stop.
  • Walk to Harbor Blvd. and turn left. Continue until you reach the Harbor-MacArthur Blvd. stop.
  • Board Bus Route 43 North and exit at Harbor-East Shuttle Area in Anaheim. The Disneyland Resort is approximately a 2-minute walk from this stop.

Shuttles, Limousines and Taxicabs
There are a number of shared-ride shuttles and limousines available at the GTC that can take you directly to the Disneyland Resort. It's best to arrange your transportation prior to arriving at the airport. Limousines may charge a flat rate that is sometimes close to the rate charged by a taxi service.

Taxicabs are available at the GTC for direct service to the Disneyland Resort and can seat up to 5 people. Look for coordinators who can assist you with your ground transportation needs. Be sure to inquire about a flat rate for a one-way trip to the Resort.

Long Beach Airport (LGB)

Choose from a variety of vehicles and transportation options available to the Disneyland Resort. The Happiest Place on Earth is located approximately 13 miles from Long Beach Airport.

Shuttles, Limousines and Taxicabs
There are a number of shared ride shuttles and limousines available that can take you directly to the Disneyland Resort.

  • Upon exiting baggage claim, cross Donald Douglas Drive to the Ground Transportation island next to the covered parking structure. It's best to arrange your transportation prior to arriving at the airport. 
  • Limousines may charge a flat rate that is sometimes close to the rate charged by a taxi service. 
  • Taxicabs are available for direct transportation service to the Disneyland Resort. After exiting baggage claim, cross Donald Douglas Drive to the Ground Transportation island next to the covered parking structure. There are many cabs available to take you to your destination. The company charges a flat rate for a one-way trip to the Resort. 

Metro/Orange County Transit Authority
The Metro and OCTA operate a network of interlinked bus routes and rail lines that service Los Angeles and Orange County.

  • Upon exiting baggage claim, walk or take a short taxi ride to the Southeast corner of Spring Street and Lakewood Boulevard.
  • Take the Long Beach 102 bus heading east to the Norwalk/Wardlow stop.
  • From the Northeast corner, take Orange County Bus Route 46 east to the Ball/Cast stop. 
  • Board Orange County Bus Route 430 heading east to the Harbor-East Shuttle Area in Anaheim. The Disneyland Resort is approximately a 2 minute walk from this stop.

Bob Hope Airport (BUR)

Hop aboard transportation heading to the Disneyland Resort—including bus, train, shuttle, taxi and more. The Happiest Place on Earth is located approximately 42 miles from Bob Hope Airport.

Shuttles, Limousines and Taxicabs
There are a number of shared-ride shuttles and limousines available that can take you directly to the Disneyland Resort.

  • Shuttles and taxicabs are available on the island in front of Terminal A and Terminal B, although it's best to arrange your transportation prior to arriving at the airport.
  • Limousines may charge a flat rate that is sometimes close to the rate charged by a taxi service. 

Amtrak and Metrolink
Bob Hope Airport is directly served by Amtrak and Metrolink transportation services.

To access the train station, board a LOT D shuttle bus and tell the driver that you would like to be dropped off at the train station across the street. Only LOT D shuttle buses will take passengers to the train station. Train station shuttles are a complimentary service of Burbank-Bob Hope Airport and run frequently on a daily basis. If the shuttles are not in service, any bus that is operating will provide service to the train station.

Once at the train station, you can take Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner that directly connects the airport to the Anaheim Amtrak/Metrolink Station. There are several departure times each day. Metrolink's Ventura County Line also links the airport with Los Angeles Union Station, with a number of daily departures.

  • Once you reach Union Station, transfer to the Orange County Metrolink or Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner that will take you directly to the Anaheim Amtrak/Metrolink Station. 
  • When you arrive at Anaheim Station, you may transfer to the Anaheim Resort Transit Route 15 bus, which will take you directly to the Disneyland Resort, or you can transfer to the OCTA Bus Route 50 and exit at the Katella-Harbor Blvd. stop with a short walk along Harbor Blvd. (approximately 3 blocks) to the Disneyland Resort.

Ontario International Airport (ONT)

From buses and trains to shuttles and taxis, choose a transportation option to the Disneyland Resort. The Happiest Place on Earth is located approximately 34 miles from Ontario International Airport.

Shuttles, Limousines and Taxicabs
Information on authorized ground transportation companies is displayed on a board across from baggage claim.

  • Upon exiting baggage claim, you can find door-to-door van service along the island curbs. Service is available on a walk-up basis as well as by advance reservations. The California Public Utilities Commission requires that drivers maintain a price list identifying the specific rates for transportation between the airport and surrounding cities. Curbside ambassadors are available to assist you with your ground transportation needs daily. 
  • Taxicabs are available curbside outside of baggage claim on a walk-up basis. They must be equipped with a dashboard meter or rate card which is plainly visible to all passengers in the front and back seats of the vehicle. 
  • Chauffeured limousines, charter buses and charter vans provide transportation services by advance reservation only and charge fees based on vehicle mileage, time of use or a combination thereof. These charges typically vary according to the vehicle's passenger capacity and size of the group being transported. When you make a reservation, a representative will direct you to a clearly marked location to meet your vehicle. 

Omnitrans and Metrolink
Omnitrans is a public transit agency that serves the San Bernardino Valley while Metrolink is a commuter rail line that services all of Southern California. Upon exiting baggage claim, take a courtesy airport shuttle to the Omnitrans bus stop near Vineyard and Terminal 2.

Option 1:

  • Take Bus Route 61 southwest to the Downtown Pomona Metrolink Station located on 1st St. and S. Garey Ave. 
  • Transfer to the Metrolink Riverside Line headed west to Union Station in Los Angeles, then transfer to the Metrolink Orange County Line headed south to Anaheim.
  • Once you arrive at Anaheim Station, you may transfer to the Anaheim Resort Transit Route 15 bus, which will take you directly to the Disneyland Resort or you can transfer to the OCTA Bus Route 50 and exit at the Katella-Harbor Blvd. stop. From there, it's a short walk along Harbor Blvd. (approximately 3 blocks) to the Disneyland Resort.

Option 2:

  • You may also take Omnitrans Bus Route 61 headed north to the Fontana Metrolink Station on Orange Way.
  • Transfer to the San Bernardino Line headed west to Union Station in Los Angeles, where you will then transfer to the Orange County Line headed south to the Anaheim Amtrak/Metrolink Station. 
  • Once you arrive at Anaheim Station, you may transfer to the Anaheim Resort Transit Route 15 bus, which will take you directly to the Disneyland Resort or you can transfer to the OCTA Bus Route 50 and exit at the Katella-Harbor Blvd. stop. From there, it's a short walk along Harbor Blvd. (approximately 3 blocks) to the Disneyland Resort.

San Diego International Airport (SAN)

Head up the coast to the Disneyland Resort by traveling aboard a train, shuttle, taxi or limo. The Happiest Place on Earth is located approximately 96 miles from San Diego International Airport.

Shuttles, Limousines and Taxicabs
There are a number of shared-ride shuttles and limousines available that can take you directly to the Disneyland Resort. Shuttle service is available at the transportation plazas across from Terminals 1 and 2, and curbside at the Commuter Terminal, although it's best to arrange your transportation prior to arriving at the airport. Limousines may charge a flat rate that is sometimes close to the rate charged by a taxi service.

San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS), Amtrak and Metrolink
San Diego's MTS connects passengers from the airport to multiple public transportation options at Santa Fe Depot.

  • From the airport, take San Diego Transit's Route 992 bus to the Santa Fe Depot then take Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner for a 2-hour trip to Anaheim.
  • From Terminal #1 or Terminal #2, walk approximately one block southeast on Airport Terminal Rd. Walk straight to the N. Harbor Drive ramp, then a short distance south until you arrive at the Airport Station. 
  • Take the MTS bus route 992 (Airport/Downtown) and exit on Broadway at Kettner and walk north to Santa Fe Depot. Trains run every 10 minutes between 5:00 AM. and 12:50 AM daily.
  • From the Santa Fe Depot train station in downtown San Diego, take Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner or the North County Transit District's Coaster to the Anaheim Amtrak/Metrolink Station.
  • Once you arrive at Anaheim Station, transfer to the Anaheim Resort Transit Route 15, which will take you directly to the Disneyland Resort. You may also transfer to the OCTA Bus Route 50 and exit at the Katella-Harbor Blvd. stop with a short walk along Harbor Blvd. (approximately 3 blocks) to the Disneyland Resort. 

Amtrak operates 7 days a week, 365 days per year, with 12 scheduled round trips. The Coaster operates Monday through Saturday. However, there is no service on Sunday, New Year's Day, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving or Christmas Day.

Getting Around the Anaheim Resort Area

The Anaheim Resort Transit (ART) provides convenient, affordable shuttle service throughout Anaheim. Buses travel from area hotels to the Disneyland Resort, the Anaheim Convention Center and other locations throughout the 1100-acre Anaheim Resort District. Service usually begins at 7:00 AM and continues to midnight, 7 days a week. Passes, including multi-day passes, can be purchased online and at various locations throughout Anaheim.

Getting Around the Disneyland Resort

Whether you take the tram, Disneyland Monorail or simply walk, navigating the Disneyland Resort is easy and fun.

Trams
Disneyland Resort parking lot trams shuttle Guests to Disney California Adventure Park and Disneyland Park from the Mickey & Friends Parking Structure. Trams continue to operate approximately one hour after the last theme park closes.

Monorail
The Downtown Disney District Monorail Station offers convenient transportation directly into the Tomorrowland area of Disneyland Park. During a scenic ride through the sky, you’ll pass over Fantasyland in Disneyland Park as well as Hollywood Land, Buena Vista Street and Grizzly Peak Airfield in Disney California Adventure Park.

The Disneyland Monorail is accessible by Guests with valid admission to Disneyland Park, which must be activated before boarding.
