Signature Hot Sandwiches, Wraps, Salads and More
The Original 1762 is the star of the menu, and when you taste it you’ll know why. This noble sandwich features tender Angus roast beef, sharp cheddar and creamy horseradish. The Earl’s Club, The Full Montagu with turkey and roast beef, and the Cannonballs! meatball sub pay homage to the resourceful British Navy commander, while chipotle chicken avocado, holiday turkey and Caprese sandwiches are among the fleet of new favorites. The Earl also features freshly tossed salads, made-to-order wraps, signature soups and freshly baked desserts, including strawberry shortcake and brownie crème sandwiches.
The Earl does breakfast too! Daily until 11:00 AM, drop by for fresh-cracked eggs served on mini artisan loaves with combinations like bacon and cheddar or ham and Swiss. Freshly brewed Kona blend coffee, oatmeal, bagels, muffins and fresh fruit yogurt parfaits offer more get-up-and-go options.
Before setting sail, try the Earl Grey Lemonade, a refreshing take on the Arnold Palmer. Beer and wine are also available for brigadiers 21 and over.
John Montagu, the 4th Earl of Sandwich, was known for many things before devising this most revolutionary food. As First Sea Lord, he commanded the venerable British Navy and was also a noted explorer.
But lore has it that his love of gambling, often from day into night, led Montagu to put meat between 2 slices of bread so that he could satisfy his need for nourishment without stepping away from the card table. This ingenious idea quickly caught on when savvy cohorts began requesting “the same as Sandwich!” In 1762, the world’s first fast food was named after its creator, John Montagu, the Earl of Sandwich—and the rest, as they say, is history.
Some 250 years later, the current 11th Earl and the Sandwich family continue a proud family tradition of crafting quality sandwiches using only the freshest ingredients, making it easy for anyone, earl or otherwise, to enjoy a great meal on the go.
