A grinning pizza-toting harlequin welcomes you at the entrance, promising both good food and good times. With a spacious 2-story dining room inspired by Carnivale, authentic wood-fired pizzas and an award-winning wine list, this locale is one of the premier dining destinations of the Downtown Disney District.
While known for its thin-crust Neapolitan-style pizzas, Naples Ristorante e Pizzeria has many more tantalizing specialties to choose from: oven-roasted sandwiches, an array of house-made pastas, hearty entrées such as grilled seabass and more. Gluten-free pasta is available upon request, and junior chefs can even try their hand at making a mini pizza! A kids’ menu complete with fun puzzles and games is sure to please the 10-and-under set.
A whimsically appointed dining room with yellow-splashed walls, blue-painted skies, harlequin-checked banquettes and a stunning 2-story wine storage case offer plenty for your eyes to devour as you anticipate your meal. Inside this cavernous case, you’ll find a staggering selection of California and Italian vintages, including more than 20 wines by the glass, available to Guests 21 and over. A selection of beers, including Moretti draft, is also served.
Upstairs dining features more of that sunny Mediterranean vibe, while a huge, airy balcony allows sweeping views of the Downtown Disney District amidst romantic shrubbery and string lights. Even more seating is available on the ground-level patio, whose focal point is a charming pergola.
Naples Ristorante e Pizzeria takes its pizza-making as seriously as you take your pizza-eating! Each artisanal pie begins with flour imported from Italy, handmade mozzarella and water with the same mineral content used by pizzerias in Naples. Eight house combinations featuring premium toppings from Parma ham to Finocchiona salami to taleggio cheese ensure this will be no ordinary pizza, and when it hits your table wood-fired to crispy perfection, you’ll taste the difference. You’re also welcome to build your own custom creation.
Practice your Italian as you peruse a menu including antipasti like calamari fritti; salsiccia agrodolce, grilled sweet sausage with roasted peppers with rustic garlic toast; and arancini alla scamorza, saffron risotto balls stuffed with smoked mozzarella. Venture on with hand-rolled pastas such as gnocchi with Gorgonzola fondue and roasted pumpkin, garganelli quill-shaped pasta with broccoli, chicken, cream and Parmesan, and mezzelune “half-moon” ravioli stuffed with sausage and ricotta cheese.
Pan-seared pesce (fish), eggplant or chicken parmigiana, Piedmont-style braised short ribs and pollo alla cacciatora with creamy polenta offer delectable dinner choices. Looking for a lighter lunch? Oven-roasted sandwiches, or pagnotelle, are served from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM with rosemary potato chips, and freshly tossed salads from the Contadina chopped Italian to arugula with shaved mushrooms, fennel, artichokes and Parmesan are a perfect counterpoint.
Desserts are just as delicious, naturally. Choose from Nonna's cheesecake with mixed berry compote, the effervescent gelato frizzante Italian-style float or go “Per Tutti” and try 3 delights: tiramisu, cannoli and tortino di cioccolato, or dark chocolate mousse torte.
