How to Use Direct-to-Room Service
If you wish to save time with Direct-to-Room service at Hotels of the Disneyland Resort, please follow these simple steps:
- Within 5 days of your arrival, sign in to your Disney account and use our Online Check-In service via the web or in the Disneyland app.
- When your room is ready, the Disneyland app will display your room number and allow you to enter your room by using a digital key.
The Disneyland app can also help you access your theme park admission as well as Disneyland Resort hotel common areas—so you can drop off your bags in your room and jump right into the magic!
Know Before You Go
Eligibility
Guests staying at the Disneyland Hotel (including The Villas at the Disneyland Hotel), Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and Pixar Place Hotel are eligible to use Direct-to-Room service.
To access the digital key feature on the Disneyland app, you must be signed in to your Disney account and have linked your reservation to your account. The Disney account holder who is the primary Guest can activate the digital key feature for their Guests.
Room Availability
If you use Online Check-In service via the web or in the Disneyland app, you can view your room number when your room is ready in the app. To receive a notification when your room is available, opt in to receive text messages.
Check-In Times:
- 3:00 PM for Disneyland Resort hotels
- 4:00 PM for The Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and The Villas at the Disneyland Hotel.
Prior to accessing your room, you can use the Unlock Door feature in the Disneyland app to gain access to certain areas at Hotels of the Disneyland Resort, such as the pool, fitness center, elevators and Club Level lounges.

Cast Members in the lobby entrance area and at the Front Desk are happy to assist with your arrival, regardless of whether you choose to use Direct-to-Room service.
If you experience any difficulties while using your digital key or the Unlock Door feature, you can also tap “Call Hotel” on the Hotel screen in the Disneyland app for further assistance.
