Help with Tickets – Frequently Asked Questions
Q:
When can I use my 1-day theme park ticket?
A:
A 1-day theme park ticket, with required park reservation, may be used on any date in the designated tier (or lower tiers) until the expiration date of the ticket. Tier assignments and blockout dates are added on a rolling basis, so please check back often. The dates assigned to each tier and the number of days in each tier may not be the same from year to year.
Both valid admission and park reservation for the same park on the same date are required for park entry.
Park reservations are limited in number and subject to:
- Availability of park reservations allocated to park tickets as determined by Disney
- Theme park capacity
Park reservation availability can change up until the park reservation is confirmed. Park reservations are not guaranteed. Admission to a park is subject to operational hours, closures and other restrictions. A ticket does not guarantee park entry, even on dates when a ticket is not blocked out.
Multi-Day Ticket
Multi-day tickets have different entitlements and validity dates. Please check the details of a particular multi-day ticket at the time of purchase.
Upgrading Tickets
If you have purchased a 1-day ticket through Disneyland.com and wish to use it for a day on which it is blocked out, you can upgrade the ticket (unless otherwise stated in the terms of the ticket).
The amount paid for a wholly unused ticket may be applied toward the purchase of a new ticket, which is valid for your desired visit date, at the current price, so long as the new ticket purchase price is equal to or greater than the amount paid for the original ticket, subject to other restrictions. A separate theme park reservation for the new date will also be required for park entry.
Please be aware that some tickets cannot be upgraded. To upgrade your ticket or see if your ticket is eligible for an upgrade, visit any Disneyland Resort Guest Relations location.
Additional Information
Unless otherwise specifically stated, the amount paid for any wholly unused, expired Disneyland Resort theme park ticket (except for special event tickets or tickets purchased from a third party) may be applied towards the purchase of a new theme park ticket at the current price, so long as the new ticket purchase price is equal to or greater than the amount paid for the original ticket.
The amount paid for any theme park ticket may not be redeemed for cash or used for any other goods or services other than for another theme park ticket. No credit or refunds will be given for the non-use of any portion of a theme park ticket's entitlements (e.g. using a 1-Day Tier 5 Ticket on a Tier 2 date; or only entering one park with a Park Hopper ticket). Tickets and associated features and entitlements are non-refundable, non-transferable, revocable and may not be redeemed for cash.
Unless otherwise specifically stated, tickets are not valid for special or premium events, special events that are not open to the general public or other separately priced activities.
In addition to valid theme park admission and park reservation, certain experiences may require a separate reservation.
