Update on Disneyland Resort Operations

 

Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park will plan to reopen on April 30, 2021, and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will plan to reopen on April 29, 2021, with enhanced health and safety measures in place. The Disneyland Hotel and Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel remain closed and will reopen at a later date.

Additionally, all Guests will be required to obtain a reservation for park entry in advance through a new theme park reservation system. To enter a park, both a theme park reservation and a valid admission ticket, for the same park on the same date, are required for Guests age 3 and up. Capacity and theme park reservations will be limited, and reservations will be subject to availability. The theme park reservation system will open on April 12, 2021, and existing ticket holders will be able to check availability and make their park reservations, subject to their ticket type. Starting April 15, 2021, theme park ticket sales will resume and Guests will be able to purchase new tickets and make park reservations. Until further notice, only California residents may visit the parks, and in groups no larger than 3 households, in line with current state guidelines. Proof of residency may be required.

The Downtown Disney District is open with select retail and dining locations and enhanced health and safety measures in place.

A Touch of Disney, a new ticketed experience at Disney California Adventure Park, which has sold out, will go on as planned from March 18 through April 19, 2021.

Upon reopening, certain parks, hotels, restaurants, attractions, experiences and other offerings will be modified or unavailable, will have limited capacity and will be subject to limited availability or even closure, and park admission and offerings are not guaranteed.

An important update regarding Annual Passholders can be found below.

We will provide more information as it becomes available. We reserve the right to cancel any reservations, admission media or purchases and provide applicable refunds. Please also see our policies regarding modifications and cancellations by Guests.

We continue to keep the well-being of our Guests and Cast Members top of mind and have taken enhanced health and safety measures based on guidance from health authorities and appropriate government agencies, including temperature screenings and required face coverings. Face coverings are required for all Guests (ages 2 and older) and Cast Members, including those who have received a COVID-19 vaccine. Please bring your own face coverings and wear them at all times, except when dining or swimming. You may remove your face covering while actively eating or drinking, but you must be stationary and maintain appropriate physical distancing. Guests are reminded to practice physical distancing, not touch their face, frequently wash their hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, and use hand sanitizer. Disney reserves the right to require a Guest to leave if they are (i) not properly wearing an approved face covering, (ii) using profanity or offensive language towards our Cast Members or other Guests and/or (iii) violating any other Park Rules. We have taken enhanced health and safety measures—for you, our other Guests and Cast Members. You must follow all posted instructions while visiting the Disneyland Resort.

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and Guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable.

By visiting the Disneyland Resort, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

Modifications and Cancellations

Annual Passports

Annual Passholders have been among our most loyal and valued Guests, and we want to thank them for their understanding during this closure period.

Due to the continued uncertainty of the pandemic and limitations around the reopening of our California theme parks, we will be issuing appropriate refunds for eligible Disneyland Resort Annual Passports and sunsetting the current Annual Passport program. Although sunsetting the Annual Passport program may be disappointing to some, we are excited about what’s ahead and know that our future is bright. We are developing new membership offerings that will utilize consumer insights to deliver choice, flexibility and value for our biggest fans. Once we have more information to share about future membership offerings, our Annual Passholders will be the first to hear from us.

Annual Passholders who held active Passports as of March 14, 2020 will continue to receive applicable discounts based on their passport type for merchandise and food & beverages at select locations until the new membership offerings are announced. View important details and restrictions.

We encourage our Annual Passholders to stay connected with the Disneyland Annual Passholders’ Facebook page as we plan to continue our Annual Passport communication and digital content with special opportunities to come, until new membership offerings are announced.

Disney Premier Passholders:

We will be issuing appropriate refunds on eligible Disneyland Resort Annual Passports, and sunsetting the current Annual Passport program—including the Disney Premier Passport—due to the continued uncertainty of the pandemic and limitations around the reopening of our California theme parks.

In addition to receiving applicable Passport discounts on merchandise and food & beverages at select locations at the Disneyland Resort until new membership offerings are announced, Premier Passholders will be eligible to enjoy Walt Disney World Resort Theme Park access and V.I.PASSHOLDER Perks through March 31, 2021, and their passes will be canceled thereafter. Please note, advance Disney Park Pass reservations are required for park entry. Premier Passholders will also be able to renew into Walt Disney World Resort Annual Passes through April 30, 2021.
